Discover new horizons with the confidence of the Chevy Silverado, from busy streets to scenic views.
“What are you doing for New Year’s Eve?”
It’s a question we all get asked this time of year. Having plans for the biggest night of the year is basically expected of anyone, even if those plans are to just sit at home with good company and watch the big ball drop on TV.
But, if you’re looking to ring in the New Year in an extra special way, Metro Detroit has plenty of parties, galas and more to attend this year.
The Drop (Detroit)
Discover new horizons with the confidence of the Chevy Silverado, from busy streets to scenic views.
Now in its seventh year, The Drop in downtown Detroit has grown year over year. While typically hosted in Campus Martius and Cadillac Square, due to overwhelming attendance this year’s event will take place at a to-be-determined location. The festivities will still be familiar, including the giant “D” that will drop as we approach midnight on New Year’s Eve.
Motown Countdown (Detroit)
This year’s Motown Countdown will take place at The Masonic Temple in Detroit. Throughout three large rooms, you will find 34 VIP booths, a 3-story ceiling, electronic dance music and throwback Motown favorites. There will, of course, be champagne for toasting to the New Year and food, such as pizza, sliders and coneys.
The Celebration (Southfield)
Taking place at the Best Western Premier in Southfield, The Celebration boasts a ballroom and two additional rooms of entertainment. Enjoy cuisine from The Epicurean Group and a bar package to take advantage of. Hotel rooms are also available for reservation.
Resolution Ball (Detroit)
One of the biggest New Year’s Eve parties around, the Resolution Ball at The Fillmore is filled with DJs, dancers and more. Stilt walkers, illusionists and stunt performers will be coming through the party all night. Six large screens will be broadcasting the countdown event from Times Square.
New Year’s Eve Gala (Birmingham)
At The Townsend Hotel in downtown Birmingham, you can expect to find live DJs, a live performance by Nuclassica, champagne toast and confetti shower at midnight, bottle service booths and more. Hotel reservations are also available.
